Hi there, I'm a knife maker in the UK, I have never come across many Canadian knife makers, are there any here?

I make a few up now and again but just for myself and the wife so I can make up knives that I see but can not afford to buy I will be getting some white Corian for knife handles and making up the knives early summer I want to make a woodlore copy...

I did start out making sheaths for my bought knifes and decided to start making my own blades too its loads of fun....

I haven't really made any knives tho it is definitely on the "To DO" list. So far I have done a couple of salvage projects, older knives that I find at flea markets or yard sales, I recut and grind the blades and put new scales or handles on them....

There are some Canadian custom knife makers, but none make knives I can afford, haha. My favourite maker is Gill Cote. He makes some absolutely beautiful knives.

Just joined the forum, I've been making knives both full and part time since I was a kid, which is kinda longer than I wanna admit at this point.
Last few years I've gotten away from all the other stuff and mainly concentrate on users, Scandinavian-influenced in particular.
Been reading a lot here already, cool spot.

Here's a few of mine, the last one is the only one I've managed to hold onto for myself in a couple of years.

once you make a few blades you understand the work that goes into them and really start appreciating a nice knife....

Thanks, it's one of the things I enjoy the most about making the Scandinavian style stuff.
