Hello from Surrey, BC

Postby lornix » Wed Jun 09, 2010 7:33 pm

I have been looking for fellow bushcrafters and traditional skills type people to connect with and this looks like a good starting point.

I have been an avid outdoors man my whole life and there is nothing I like more than spending time in the woods around a campfire enjoying the wilderness by myself or in the company of like-minded people. I am into traditional / primitive skills and hunting - bow, sling, slingshot, bola, and am working on making a blow-gun and trying to get better at spearing. I enjoy bushcraft both for the destressing aspect and the confidence it gives me knowing I can survive the wilderness with very little resources.

Most of my bush time is spent around the Harrison and Coquihalla areas. I am also an avid Jeepist and spend a lot of my time in the back country exploring old logging roads and 4x4 trails.

I would love to connect with some other local bushcraft people and would be interested in a meetup or other social situations involving bushcraft and primitive skills.

Cheers,
Lorne

LOL, I finally found my way back here. I have it bookmarked now :-)

A meet up around Harrison sounds awesome! Let me know when and where and I'll be there. I'll probably be doing some trips up the Coquihalla in August or September. I'll post up if you're into doing some exploring or whatever. Nothing too crazy, but 4x4 is a bonus.

Cheers,
Lorne
